Long-Term Cost Effectiveness of Weight Management in Primary Care.

This paper presents the health economic analysis of delivery of Counterweight in UK Primary Care using the model used to assess cost effectiveness from the NICE Guideline on obesity management 2006. The outcomes show that the programme is a dominant intervention in that improved clinical benefit (Quality Adjusted Life Years QALYS) are achieved at an overall cost saving to the NHS.
