Counterweight has been implemented in the following PCTs: In each area, the Counterweight Specialist facilitates the implementation of the programme with a locally based clinician who is referred to as the NHS Counterweight Clinician (formally referred to as the buddy clinican). It is the NHS Counterweight Clinican who continues to support the programme post implementation.
