Counterweight Programme Costs
Counterweight has been commissioned by the Scottish Government as the preferred option for adult weight management within Primary Care across 13 Scottish Health Boards.
From 2006 funding was made available to deliver the Counterweight Programme as part of Keep Well which is an anticipatory care initiative being delivered in areas of high deprivation in Scotland.
In 2008, the Scottish Government announced a firm financial commitment to treating and preventing obesity with further funding made available to support implementation of the Counterweight Programme within Scottish Health Boards.
