Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 250ml milk (of your choice, we use semi-skim)
  • 2 tbsp (20g) almonds
  • 85g (8) strawberries
  • 30g raw oats
  • Cinnamon, to taste


Method

Step 1: Oats

  1. The night before - add oats and milk to a bowl
  2. Place in the fridge overnight

Step 2: Strawberries
  1. The next day take frozen strawberries and add them to a small pot on medium heat
  2. Heat for approximately 3 - 4 minutes until you see a juice begin to develop in the pot. Once this happens - remove from heat.

Step 3: Almonds
  1. Using a non-stick pan on medium heat add almonds
  2. Heat almonds for approximately 4 - 5 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally
  3. You’ll know they are done when you start to smell a nutty smell and the almonds begin to brown

Step 4: Putting it all together
  1. Warm-up overnight oats in microwave on high for approximately 1 minute. Note: you can also leave the oats cold if you'd prefer!
  2. Add strawberries with the juice created
  3. Add almonds some cinnamon for some extra antioxidants and great taste
  4. Enjoy!
